Leipziger Abdichtungsseminar

The Leipzig waterproofing seminar is a renowned training event that has been held for 15 years and is recognised nationwide. The event is organised by MFPA Leipzig GmbH with support from the German Structural Engineering Institute DIBt and the German standardisation body DIN. The goal of the seminar is to inform interested experts on a regular basis about the extensive subject of “waterproofing in construction”, sharing information about new requirements for waterproofing and construction methods, as well as about the latest developments concerning building law and standardisation regulations in the context of construction practice.

The Leipzig waterproofing seminar is intended for all those who plan, produce or inspect waterproofing, for interested building contractors, investors, authorities, lawyers, students and other experts, who would like to expand their knowledge. The seminar also aims to bring together all those involved in construction. The seminar is a combination of a lecture event and a trade exhibition that is designed to encourage experts to exchange experiences.

Leipziger Fassadentag

Leipzig facade day is a recognised training event that takes place for the fourth time on 20 September 2022. The following companies and organisations are involved: MFPA Leipzig GmbH, HTWK, S&P, IFBT and DIBt.

The goal of this training event is to provide a meeting place for experts from the field of façade construction and interested individuals, and to allow for effective networking based on a combination of a trade exhibition and a lecture event.

Renowned scientists and experts will speak about appraisal and their practical work at Leipziger Fassadentag, as well as about innovations in this specialist area. Façades are the visual part of a building’s shell and great architectural demands apply. Requirements concerning energy savings, noise abatement and fire protection, as well as structural stability, demand that façade design is subject to a process of constant change. The research, testing, approval and application work of engineers and architects in the façade industry is characterised by the interplay between innovation and ensuring safety objectives according to the building regulations.

Leipziger Gewässerschutztag

Leipzig water protection day is a training event that is recognised nationwide. It is organised by MFPA Leipzig GmbH with support from the German Structural Engineering Institute DIBt and the working group on water issues of the federal states and the federal government. Leipzig water protection day is an information platform for all those who deal with structural water protection within the scope of the German federal water act (WHG) and the applicable rules and particularities. In addition to WHG facilities, the event also focusses on biogas plants and agricultural facilities. The conference contributions, specialist information and presentations of construction solutions are intended to provide planners, producers, appraisers, authorities, lawyers, students and other interested experts with the opportunity to expand their expertise. Leipziger Gewässerschutztag is a combination of a lecture event and a trade exhibition with great networking opportunities.

The event is still relatively young, and its goal is to regularly inform interested experts about new requirements for handling water-polluting substances, as well as about the latest developments concerning building law and standardisation regulations. Aspects addressed include the current applicable rules and the resulting duties for using and applying building products and methods, and kits for facilities handling water-polluting substances for producers, planners, managers and operators.

Leipziger Installationssystemetag

The aim of the Leipzig Installation Systems Day is to take an in-depth look at the influence of installation systems for technical installations on the requirements of structural systems. Every two years, together with renowned practitioners, we would like to present the current state of the art, discuss solutions and illustrate them with application examples.

Stability, fire protection, sound insulation and thermal insulation are the basic requirements for construction products and structural systems set out in the EU Construction Products Regulation and the state building regulations. The needs of building users and objective requirements, such as medical progress, new technological processes and increased demands on technical building equipment (TGA), lead to extensive installations of technical systems in buildings, which can influence the basic requirements. This not only affects the statics of the structural systems, but also their fire, sound and thermal insulation properties. The installation of technical systems should therefore be designed in such a way that the interaction with the building structure is clearly recognizable, predictable and ideally also calculable.
